Does anyone have experience doing this. I dun want to pay labor on something so tiny lol. I have np installing the hood but I'm unfamiliar with hood pins. I still don't know which to get. I'm leaning towards these aerocatch Hood pin latches. but i don't know what are your thoughts?

Get a hold a of Doodiehead AKA Michael Card and I'm sure he could aid you in your project.

I used the Areotech hood pins... they are the only ones I would ever use. I would suggest taking your time and doing a lot of maching up, checking and re-maching, until you get it where you want it. If you want details on what I did let me know, I can give you more info.

Careful about removing the stock latches if you don't have to... if you do anyone could just walk up and open your hood...

I'm excited to see the new addition :)

with CF this will never happen. you need to have what ever shop you are getting a hook up at do a high gloss clear coat on it or its going to fade really fast! and pray you never get a good sized rock thrown at your new hood because it will chip or shatter like a windshield does.

Dont get me wrong.... I love the CF look on lots of cars as long as its done in moderation. But you have to keep in mind the fitment will never be like OEM metal. You will have high spots, low spots and gaps.... its just how it is unless you make it your self for your exact car. Ask the shop thats installing it to try and get the gaps as close as possible, ie: repositioning the fenders and bumper alignment to the new hood.

btw if you want to sell your old hood and scoop LMK
